What Are the Chances of Getting Pregnant with IUI Treatment in India?

When a couple starts with their journey to conceive a baby, the situation is full of challenges. There are a number of battles that a couple needs to face – emotional, financial, psychological, medical, etc. When all the medications and tests fail to show the desired results of natural pregnancy, doctors usually recommend various artificial reproductive technologies to the couple. These treatments include in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), and others.
IUI treatment in India has become very common and a number of couples are opting for the same.
IUI Treatment in India:
IUI is a procedure that includes the washing of sperms in order to remove slow-moving, dead sperms and to sort the healthy and motile ones that entertain higher chances of fertilising an egg. The process of ovulation is then tracked by the way of ovulation tracking kit or ultrasound and the same is scheduled for an IUI on the day of ovulation.
After this, a catheter places the sperm directly in the uterus. IUI treatment in India is quite similar to the natural process of conception and it helps to facilitate sperm to reach the egg by the way of bypassing the obstacles.
When is IUI treatment in India recommended?
Doctors usually recommend IUI treatment in India in all the cases of unexplained infertility, mild endometriosis, poor cervical mucus, mild male subfertility, ejaculatory failure or ovulatory dysfunction.
The success rate of IUI treatment in India:
The success rate of IUI treatment in India is somewhat similar to the rate of pregnancy of fertile couples who achieve conception on their own. The chances of getting pregnant with a single IUI cycle are 10-20 percent respectively. This scale increases to as high as 80 percent with 3 to 6 cycles under the course of this treatment. However, it is important to mention that the success rate of IUI treatment in India also depends on different factors such as the semen sample of a man, age of a woman, as well as medical condition of both of them.
If the woman has crossed the age of 40 years, the success rate of IUI treatment is not so favourable. In this situation, doctors usually do not recommend this treatment option.

IUI treatment in India is a good alternative, if you are planning to have a baby using artificial methods of pregnancy and are under 40 years of age.
